Women’s Grand Finals – Saturday 31 August

This Saturday 31 August the Women’s A, B and C Grade Grand Finals will take place at Kingsley Reserve.

Curtin Uni Wesley and University will face off in the Women’s A Grade Grand Final at 3.00pm.

After taking out the inaugural Women’s A Grade premiership last season, University will be looking to create history with back to back premierships.

On the other hand, Curtin Uni Wesley will be looking to redeem themselves after 2018 saw them finish as minor premiers before bowing out in straight sets during the finals series. Their finals campaign this season saw them win their semi-final to advance straight through to Saturday’s decider.

Finishing first and second on the ladder, the sides have met three times already this season with University winning the first two. Their last two matches have been decided by five points and six points respectively.

Prior to the A Grade Grand Final, the Women’s B Grade Grand Final will see Warnbro Swans and Nollamara go head to head at 1.00pm.

History indicates the match will be a close one with the sides already meeting three times this year. All three matches have been decided by seven points or less, with Warnbro Swans being on the winning side on each occasion. A win for the Warnbro Swans will see them go through the year without a loss to their name.

In the C Grade Grand Final Piara Waters and Coolbellup with battle it out for the title of inaugural C Grade Premiers.

Both have met three times as well this year with Piara Waters winning the last two encounters, the most recent by 20 points.
