University Football Club Colts Continue to Impress

University Football Club’s Phil Scott Colts side are currently sitting on top of the ladder with just one loss for the season.

With one win clear above second spot they also have a dominant percentage of 406.69%.

Their only defeat this season so far was in round nine when they lost by four-points to Curtin Uni Wesley who currently occupy third position.

Not only has the side been impressive this season, they have won four out of the past five Phil Scott Colts premierships and are looking to go back to back in 2018.

The only side to have stopped their run of premierships in the past five seasons is second placed North Beach who defeated University by four points in the 2016 Grand Final.

With just five rounds to go before finals University are due to face North Beach (2nd), Kingsway (9th), Fremantle CBC (6th), Curtin Uni Wesley (3rd) and Wembley (10th) over the next five weeks.

While University’s Phil Scott Colts side is impressive in the top division the clubs second colts side in the Brett Jones division are also sitting in a similar position.

The club’s Brett Jones Colts are on top of the ladder with just the one loss and one draw for the season so far, two points ahead of second placed North Beach.

Their only loss so far came in round one against North Beach with their draw in round eight to third placed Fremantle CBC.

University’s Brett Jones Colts side have also won four out of the past five premierships with Fremantle CBC defeating the side by 24 points in the 2016 Grand Final.

The Brett Jones Colts have just four rounds to go as they face Scarborough (10th), North Fremantle (6th), Fremantle CBC (3rd) and Curtin Uni Wesley (5th).

With the Club’s two colts’ sides leading their respective grades yet again, can they both go back to back in 2018 and make it an impressive five premierships from six attempts – only time will tell.
