Toll steps down from University Presidency

After five years as the President of the University Football Club, Peter Toll last week stepped down from office.

He oversaw a period of incredible success at the Club, including back-to-back A Grade flags at the Club for the first time since 1970.

“Our goal has always been to provide the right environment for young men to play football and to enjoy what the Club has to offer,” said Toll.

“We want to everyone who comes in contact with the Uni Footy Club to benefit from the experience.”

“It has been a challenging job but it’s been a great pleasure, too,” said Toll.

“There is a terrific bunch of people at the Club and they are the ones who make it a success.”

Toll has also been an exceptional player for the Club, playing the majority of his 254 games in the Club’s top grade and playing in three Premierships.

He will continue in a supporting role on the Committee in 2013.

Jon Wyllie, previously Vice-President, will take over the role of President.
