Staff Changes at the WAAFL

THE WA Amateur Football League is pleased to announce it has created two new positions in a continued effort to assist with growing demands on clubs and to position the WAAFL as a leader of community sport.

As of Monday the 28th of February Matt Henson and Dylan Mellon have taken on the roles WAAFL Club Development and Game Environment Coordinator and WAAFL Media and Communications Officer respectively. With the change in positions Jasmyn Davidson has been appointed Senior Community Operations Coordinator and Allana Dickie has come on board full time as Operations Assistant.

As WAAFL Club Development and Game Environment Coordinator Matt will be working with clubs and districts to create quality club and game environments. Matt will be providing volunteer and club training in an effort to ease the burden on clubs and to assist them in creating quality environments that attracts players, umpires and other members.

The WAAFL Media and Communications Officer will be working to ensure all information from the league reaches all stakeholders effectively and efficiently. A large focus will be put on ensuring communication between the league and clubs is clear and concise and clubs are encouraged to utilize Dylan in the promotion of all events. The WAAFL Media and Communications Officer role is designed to continue to put the WAAFL first as community sports leaders and enhance the reputation of the league and its clubs.

Jasmyn will be taking control of the portfolio previously held by Matt and should be contacted for all operational matters including registrations, clearances, Sportingpulse and tribunal. For all matters relating to the WA Women’s Football League or Mercantile Football Association please contact Allana Dickie.
