Rivalry to continue

Dianella Morley and Manning Rippers Amateur football teams will continue to battle it out on Saturday 2nd August at Manning’s James Miller Oval in Manning.

The two Clubs will play for the “Community Football Cup” that was set up earlier this season as part of the Community Football Weekend.

The two Clubs have agreed that every time they play each other the Cup will be “up for grabs”. The Cup will go to the Club that scores the highest aggregate points over the two games, the League and the Reserves.

Further the two Clubs will also present a best player medal for both league and reserves.

The current holder of the Cup, Dianella Morley, will not let it be taken off them and will jealously guard it as this is the first piece of “silverware” that the combined teams have won.

The inaugural winners of the medals, Chad Wilson for the league side and Steven Hayward for the reserves, will put themselves in the firing line again for the “Dianella Raiders.” ?
