Remember the Titans

The Perth Football League (PFL) published a magazine inserted in the West Australian Newspaper on 10 April to commemorate their 100th year in 2021.

Within the magazine was a compilation of the most notable 100 people to participate in the PFL’s competition within that time.

Browsing the list reveals a who’s who of people who went on to become titans of business in Australia and even chaired some of our most successful companies.

Included in this top 100 list were :-

– Gary Berson – Managing Director of Clayton Utz

– Chris Brockwell – Prominent WA businessman, Hotelier

– Michael Chaney – CEO & Chair Westfarmers, Chair Woodside, Chair NAB

– Sir Rod Eddington – CEO British Airways, Director News Corp

– Richard Goyter AO – CEO Westfarmers, Chair AFL, Chair Qantas, Chair Woodside, Chair Telethon (pictured)

– Tony Grist – Co Founder Amcom Telecommunication

– Chris Lalor – Founder of Sons of Gwalia

– David Robb – Managing Director Iluka Resources

– Jamie Taylor – ITS Management

– Diana Versace – CFO – YMCA

– Keiran Wulff – Managing Director – Oil Search
