PFL Statement

The Perth Football League acknowledges an incident between players from Curtin Uni Wesley Football Club and Fremantle C.B.C. Football Club on 16 August 2025.

The League takes the issue of head injuries extremely seriously and continues to place player health, safety and welfare as its highest priority.

Given the seriousness of the injury sustained, the matter was referred to the WA Football Community Tribunal in accordance with By-law A2.29.2. In line with established process, both clubs and players retain the right to appeal decisions through the WA Football Community system.

The PFL extends its best wishes to the injured player for a full and timely recovery.

With due process now completed, the League acknowledges the decision of the Independent Community Football Appeal Panel and reaffirms its ongoing commitment to protecting the wellbeing of all players across the competition.
