Kingsley’s James Lowrie celebrates game 350

D1 Reserves player James Lowrie is pulling on the boots for the 350th time in Kingsley colours this weekend.

His senior football career commenced in 1996 when Kingsley were in the Sunday Hills comp and Robinson Reserve in Osborne Park was their Home ground.

James (Laz) had been travelling around Australia, returning to Perth to work and sharing a house with some Kingsley players. He was invited down for a kick and is now still running around with his mates on the weekends.

Laz has played in half a dozen Grand Finals winning a flag and has captained his side on many occasions, including being the captain of the D Reserves side this season.

The Kingsley Football club has been a huge part of Laz’s life, juggling his business and family life. He has brought his son down to the club knowing that he will be looked after by his extended ‘family’ at the club.

Laz said he’s been very lucky that whilst he has had a number of injuries, none have been career ending.

Laz also said that he will ‘definitely say I’ll always be involved with the club in some way, but while the body is willing I’ll just keep doing what I love and keep clocking up the games’.

The WAAFL congratulates James on his 350th game.
