Cockburn Lakes Appoint Club Stalwart to Head Position

The Cockburn Lakes Football Club has finalised their coaching appointments for the upcoming 2011 season turning to five time premiership player Colin Van Raalte to lead the league side.

Van Raalte has coached multiple grades for the past 12 years and is held in high esteem for his disciplined demeanour, coaching values, strategies as well as his player management.

Warren Mosconi has been appointed to coach the reserves next season after his development work coaching the colts in 2010. Mosconi has invaluable experience as a player with South Fremantle and Perth in the WAFL and has also been involved as a coach in the South Fremantle Football Clubs Junior Development Programs from 2004 to 2008.

New colts’ coach Anthony Ricci is another club stalwart having played 200 matches as a midfielder and defender. The Cockburn Lakes Life Member and Premiership Player is passionate about developing the colts side in 2011 and creating an enjoyable environment to play football.

On Thursday the 9th December the club will be holding a “Meet the Coaches” evening where a pre-season program will be outlined followed by a Christmas BBQ for new and current players from 5L30pm onwards.

The President and Committee of the Cockburn Lakes Football Club would like to thank out-going coaches David Bushell and Jeff Morris for their efforts and dedication on and off the field in 2010.
