Integrity

The PFL is committed to protecting the health, safety and well-being of all participants, and encourages anyone involved in the game to report any improper conduct or concerning behaviour they witness or experience.

Notice of Investigation (NOI)

Notice of Investigations can be lodged for a player, official, or club who is alleged to have committed or engaged in conduct that constitutes a reportable offence where a player has been injured or vilified.

Reporting an Issue

Amateur Status

A player is only permitted to participate in the Perth Football League as an AMATEUR.

The Perth Football League defines an AMATEUR as one who does not receive or agree to receive, either directly or indirectly, any remuneration or reward whatsoever (whether by match payments or expenses or otherwise) in respect to their participation as a player in the Perth Football League.

A player who has or have received such remuneration shall:

  1. be fined a sum not exceeding $2000; and
  2. have their registration to play cancelled.

A player is permitted to receive a match day award in recognition of performance not exceeding the value of $200.

Register of Interests

If you wish to be employed by your Perth Football League club and play, you must:

1. Register your interest using this form.
2. Gain exemption approval from the Perth Football League Competition Integrity Officer.

Failure to gain exemption approval before you play will breach the Perth Football League amateur status, and the player and club will be subject to penalties, including but not limited to fines, de-registration, loss of premiership points and club grade relegation.

Vilification

In a football context, vilification is any behaviour that targets or demeans someone based on their identity, whether on-field, on the sideline, online or within the club environment.

Vilification has no place in our game. Every player, volunteer and supporter deserves to feel safe, respected and included.

Child Safeguarding

The Perth Football League is committed to creating a safe, supportive environment for all children and young people in our game. Learn more about safeguarding practices, resources and reporting pathways

Respectful Relationships

The Respectful Relationships program, developed by WA Football, is a prevention initiative aimed at addressing family and domestic violence while supporting clubs to build safer, more respectful environments through the promotion of gender equality.

Illicit Drugs

The PFL prohibits illicit drugs and excessive alcohol, supports smoke-free grounds across metro Perth, and encourages clubs to join the Good Sports Program to create safer, more inclusive environments.
