Women’s Grand Finals – Sat 1 September

West Coast and University will face off in the Women’s A Grade Grand Final this Saturday 1 September at Lightning Park, Noranda.

West Coast finished second on the ladder at the end of the home and away season before defeating Curtin Uni Wesley in the Semi Final to advance straight through to the season decider.

University on the other hand finished in fourth position before defeating North Beach in the Semi Final and Curtin Uni Wesley in the Preliminary Final.

The two sides have met twice this season with their first match ending in a draw before their second meeting was a low scoring affair in wet weather with University taking the win by three points.

Prior to the A Grade Grand Final, the Women’s B Grade Grand Final will see Rossmoyne and Cottesloe go head to head at 3.00pm.

Rossmoyne finished the home and away season on top of the ladder going down to Cottesloe in the Semi Final before defeating Nollamara in the Preliminary Final.

Cottesloe finished the season in third position, defeating Cockburn Lakes in the Qualifying Final and Rossmoyne in the Semi Final.

The sides have met twice this season with Rossmoyne securing the win in round nine by just one point before Cottesloe defeated Rossmoyne in the Semi Final by nine points.

  • 5.00pm Women’s A Grade: West Coast v University
