Scarborough & Fremantle CBC off to the perfect start in 2018

Scarborough and Fremantle CBC have jumped to the top of the A Grade ladder after five rounds.

Both teams remain undefeated so far in season 2018 with Scarborough taking the top spot by percentage only.

The teams are two wins clear of third placed University with North Beach (4th) and Wanneroo (5th) also two wins behind the ladder leaders.

Scarborough haven’t had the easiest run either having already faced 2017 semi-finalists University and 2017 grand finalists North Beach.

On the other hand, Fremantle CBC have been lucky to escape two close encounters over the past two weeks defeating Kingsway and Trinity Aquinas by just two points.

Both Scarborough and Fremantle CBC had strong 2017 campaigns with Scarborough finishing fourth on the ladder before being defeated in the elimination final while Fremantle CBC finished second but were defeated in the preliminary final by eventual premiers Trinity Aquinas.

This Saturday Scarborough come up against seventh placed Kingsway who are new to the A Grade competition in 2018 while Fremantle CBC face eighth placed Curtin Uni Wesley.

Scarborough and Fremantle CBC meet in a top of the table clash in round seven on Saturday 19 May at Morris Buzzacott Reserve.
