Registrations and Clearances Open for 2010

With the football season drawing nearer the Community Football Office would like to advise clubs that clearances and registrations have officially opened for the 2010 season.

As with previous years, clubs are now able to log on to the Sportingpulse system to register members and submit clearances for any players requiring them until the 30th June.

2010 will also see two major changes to the clearance and registration procedure with clubs no longer having to submit photos to the Community Football Office and the approval and refusal time limit going from 14 days to six.

Clubs will now be responsible for logging on to Sportingpulse and uploading photos into the player profiles themselves. This process if a continued effort by the Community Football Office to make the registration and clearance quicker and easier for clubs, eliminating the problems that came with the submission of photos to the office.

The new process has been outlined in the updated Sportingpulse manual for 2010 (which is avaiable in the downloads section of this website), and Matt Henson will be conductiong Sportingpulse training for all clubs in the lead up to the first game.

The other change is an AFL amendment to the National Player Transfer Regulation for 2010: instead of the 14 days clubs have had to approve or deny a clearance, it will now be six working days (Monday to Friday and public holidays). This change has come due to a recent survey of the past two seasons which showed that most online clearances were completed within 3 to 5 days.
