Quackenbush Set for Game 250

Club stalwart Pri Quackenbush will join an illustrious few at the Bullcreek Leeming Amateur Football Club on Saturday when he pulls on the Bombers jumper for the 250th time.

Quackenbush has enjoyed a fruitful career at Bullcreek Leeming having been involved in 5 Grand Final appearances including wins in the 1996 Colts side and 2005 in the C Grade.

Proving he still has the passion, Quackenbush cites this years’ results as another highlight of a memorable career

“The three wins in the thirds this year where we’ve come from behind in the last quarter to win have been very satisfying as well,” Quackenbush said.

Quackenbush has had a number of coaches during his 14 years at the club and rates some advice from former coach Andrew “Flapper” Glendinning as something that stands out.

“Flapper always said don’t worry about how quickly you can do something or how many times you can do something, just make sure each time you do it you do it properly,” he said.

Whilst Quackenbush’s form and talent would see him an automatic selection in the Reserves this week, he will run out for the F Grade alongside close mates to celebrate his milestone achievement when Bullcreek Leeming take on Bayswater at Beasley Park from 2.30pm.
