Ocean Ridge Ladies Day

Ocean Ridge AFC will be hosting their Ladies Day, partnered by Dazzled by Designs and the Ocean Ridge Supporters Club, in support of the McGrath Foundations mission to raise money to fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities right across Australia and to increase breast awareness in young women.

The event will be held at Heathridge Park on Saturday July 28th, with the first match of the day commencing at 1045am.

Ocean Ridge will be donating 10% of the days bar takings along with half of the match day raffle to the McGrath Foundation, with all sides wearing pink socks to celebrate the day. The Club will also commemorate two extremely important women within Ocean Ridge’s history, Jeanette Skilton and Karen Gilbody, by awarding the first Karen Jeanette Best Afield Medal to the player judged to be best on ground from the Ocean Ridge league side on the day.

The wider community can get involved in the day by attending the Ladies Day, making donations into the donation tins which will be located around the club on Saturday and dressing in pink to support this fantastic cause.

McGrath Foundation Ambassador and Director, Tracey Bevan, says the McGrath Foundation continues to be blown away by the support from Australian communities which goes a long way in helping the Foundation place McGrath Breast care Nurses in communities right across Australia and increase breast awareness in young Australian women.

“We are proud to have 75 McGrath Breast Care Nurses working nationally who together have supported over 12,000 Australian families experiencing breast cancer. Events like this are truly helping us to make a difference,” Tracey said.
