12 Apr, 2010
THE Nollamara Football Club is set to celebrate its first home game of the year with the unveiling of its 2009 Premiership Flag this Saturday, the 17th of April against Safety Bay at Des Penman Reserve.
The reigning G Grade Premiers will take on WA Amateur Football League newcomers Safety Bay and will be looking to get their first win of the season after a rocky start against Canning Vic Park South Perth.
Round 1 saw Nollamara go down to the ex-Sunday Football League side but the club is confident it can bounce back with the return of several players in whats sure to be one of the clubs biggest days of the year.
Safety Bay began their debut season strongly, defeating 2009 D Gold finalists East Fremantle by 59 points cementing them in second place heading into the clash with Nollamara.
The reserves kick the day off at 12:35pm, both sides looking to get their first win of the season before the league match takes center stage at 2:30pm in front of an expected bumper crowd.
Nollamara welcomes all fans, players and committee members from the past, present and future down to Des Penman Reserve to celebrate the 2009 season and start the long journey to another premiership in 2010.
