Mad Dog Notches up 250

THE East Fremantle Amateur Football Club will celebrate the 250 game milestone of Daryl “Mad Dog” McLachlan this weekend when they tackle Dianella Morley, this Saturday the 14th May at Winnacott Reserve.

In a career that has spanned 15 years, “Mad Dog” is known as a hard working and loyal East Fremantle clubman, always willing to help out off the field and do the one percenters on it.

The long-time stalwart won recognition for his tough on field work last year when he was awarded the reserves best and fairest award – over a decade after he began his career.

In 1998 he was part of East Fremantle’s D Grade Premiership team and was again a Premiership player in 2000 when East Fremantle won the C Grade flag in 2000.

A loyal clubman, “Mad Dog” served on East Fremantle’s committee for several years and has always been first to put his hand up to help around the club, whether that has been running water for matches or cleaning up after events.

His loyalty was acknowledged when he was awarded Life Membership to the club, an honour he shares with his wife Sharlene – East Fremantle’s only female Life Member.

Bounce down for the match is at 12:35pm this Saturday, the 14th May at Winnacott Reserve and is followed by the league game at 2:30pm.
