Grand Final spots up for grabs in Women’s Competition

A spot in the Grand Final is up for grabs this Saturday 18 August in both the A and B Grade Women’s finals held at Lightning Park, Noranda.

Curtin Uni Wesley and West Coast will be looking to secure a Grand Final spot in the A Grade competition while Rossmoyne and Cottesloe look to be the first to make the B Grade grand final.

After finishing first and second on the A Grade ladder Curtin Uni Wesley and West Coast both had a week’s break before heading into this weekend’s semi-final.

Last time the two sides met in round eight the game ended in a draw, with West Coast the only team to almost upset Curtin Uni Wesley’s otherwise unbeatable season.

With a Grand Final spot for the taking the loser will get another chance as they face University in the preliminary final next weekend.

In the B Grade semi finals Rossmoyne enjoyed a week’s break last week after finishing on top of the ladder and will face Cottesloe who defeated Cockburn Lakes last week in the qualifying final.

Last time Rossmoyne and Cottesloe went head to head was in round nine when Rossmoyne took the win by a solid point.

The loser of this match will face the winner out of Cockburn Lakes and Nollamara next weekend.
