Garlett Wins Second Bond Medal

THE Dianella Morley Raiders held their best and fairest awards night, the “Bond Medal”, on Saturday Night before a crowd of 120 members and guests.
Philip Garlett won his second ub champion award in the last three years, remarkably he also won the League Fairest and Best trophy for the second time in the last three years.
Garlett was presented with the Bond Medal by the clubs second ever President, 72 year old, Mr. Alby Bond, who hardly misses a game whether it be at home or away game.
The winner of the Ian Johnso” Medal for the Best and Fairest player of the Clubs Reserves team was won by James Allen, and the winner of the “Peter Hawks” medal for the Best and Fairest player in the thirds side was won by the popular Matthew Stribley.
Two members were also inducted into the Clubs Life Membership ranks, Mr Steve Hayward and Brett Moocher, both have played over 200 games with the Club and both are decorated with WAAFL Fairest and Best awards.
The Clubs Person of the year was won by Murray “Muzza” Stace and the Clubs Rising Star award was won by 17 year old Eric Russell.
