First Grand Finalists Set in the Budget PFL Finals Series

Excitement is building across the 2025 Budget Car and Truck Rental PFL Finals Series, with the first grand finalists confirmed in the B-E Men’s grades and the EGT Colts. Some clubs have stormed through in straight sets, while others face the pressure of sudden-death prelims this weekend.

B Men

Mt Lawley have qualified for the grand final, and with it, promotion back into A Grade for 2026. After a dominant season that included just one loss to Swan Athletic, the Hawks will now watch on as Baldivis and West Coast battle for the remaining spot.

West Coast have surged from fourth place to give themselves a shot, while Baldivis head into yet another home prelim, their second in three years. Since winning the C1 flag in 2021, the Brumbies have played finals in every season of B Grade.

C1 Men

Kalamunda are back in B Grade for 2026 after defeating Melville in the second semi final. It marks a quick rebound for the Cougars, who dropped down to C1 just last season.

Kwinana, one of the form sides of 2025, were bundled out in straight sets. That leaves Melville and Hamersley Carine to fight it out in this weekend’s prelim. Both have recent B Grade experience and will be desperate for another shot.

C2 Men

Forrestdale’s meteoric rise continues. Runners-up in C4 in 2023, premiers in C3 in 2024, and now into the C2 grand final after a 76-point demolition of Cockburn Cobras.

The Cobras now regroup to host Quinns District. The sides split their meetings during the season, before Cockburn edged Quinns in the qualifying final. Expect another fierce battle with a grand final berth on the line.

C3 Men

Canning South Perth are through to the grand final and promotion to C2 after a thrilling 39-36 win over Cottesloe.

Cottesloe will host Warnbro in the prelim, after the Swans shocked Swan Valley by three points last week. The Roosters have already beaten Warnbro twice this year and will look to make it a hat-trick to secure their spot.

C4 Men

Kelmscott are into a second straight grand final after knocking off Kenwick. Coming from third spot, the Bulldogs have strung together four straight wins, including two away finals against higher-ranked opponents.

Kenwick now face Stirling for the last ticket to the decider. The Saints beat Kenwick back in Round 14 and will be looking to repeat the dose.

C5 Men

A unique twist in C5 will see two prelim finals this weekend. Coolbellup host High Wycombe, while Lynwood Ferndale meet SNESA.

For Coolbellup, a grand final appearance would cap a landmark year after also introducing a Colts team for the first time.

EGT Drew Banfield Colts

Mt Lawley’s strong season continues with their Colts side into the grand final after a sharp-shooting win over Wanneroo.

Wanneroo now clash with Swan Athletic in a blockbuster 1 v 2 showdown.

Gosnells stunned previously undefeated Kalamunda to book their spot in the grand final. Kalamunda must now bounce back quickly against Kwinana, who impressed in their elimination final win.

EGT Laurie Keene Colts

Kingsley powered past Quinns District by 73 points to qualify directly for the grand final. Quinns get another chance this week against Piara Waters, who upset Manning in the semis.

It is a replay of the 2024 grand final with both sides eager for redemption.
