Belmont Raise Funds to Fight Diabetes
17 Aug, 2012
THE Belmont Districts Amateur Football Club will hold a Diabetes Awareness Fundraiser in their last game of the season this Saturday, August 18.
The day, the second of its kind, was created after Belmont President Jaden Curley tragically passed away in 2010.
Last years’ function was a great success, raising $2,500 for the Diabetes Foundation.
This years’ event will include a full gala day with face painting and bouncy castles for the kids, and the league team will wear a specially designed Diabetes jumper promoting awareness.
The night will also include an auction with all proceeds going directly to the Diabetes Foundation.
Belmont will take on Quinns District in the final game of the season this Saturday at 2:30pm at Forster Park. The Diabetes Awareness Fundraiser will continue throughout the day.
