Belmont Fly into Grand Final

A DISCIPLINED and hard working Belmont overcame minor premiers Manning to earn a berth in the WAAFL C3 grand final.

Down 13 points at half-time, Belmont over-ran their fancied opponents to prevail 12.16 (88) to 10.11 (71) in a tight slog at James Miller Oval.

Warwick Saupold, Tim Phillips and Gerald McDonald led Belmont, while full forward Ash Bentley booted five goals for Manning.

Manning will face East Fremantle in the preliminary final on Saturday.

In the colts, St Norbert’s defeated Manning 14.10 (94) to 8.6 (54) to reaffirm their premiership credentials and book a grand final berth.

Manning will play Ballajura in the preliminary final on Saturday.
