Award Caps off Ripping Year for Manning
18 Nov, 2011
THE Manning Rippers Football Club capped off a landmark year winning the Best Senior Club Award for the Perth District.
The award, presented by the Perth Demon’s at their Best & Fairest, is recognition of a successful year for the club which saw their Colts team make the Grand Final in their inaugural year and the C3 League side also reach the showcase match.
Committee member Scott Greer said the club worked hard off the field to reach their targets.
“There was a reasonably big push towards getting our silver accreditation under the Quality Club Program, the club has been getting more organized off the field” He said
“We have got a strong vision of where we want to go”
He said the goal for 2012 will be to build upon the past two years of hard work by the club.
“We won two Premierships in 2009 and half the playing group had a year off and this year we have worked much harder to keep the playing group together”
“Our aim is to consolidate the Colts and at least stay in the C2 Division and hopefully make finals”
“We would also like to thank our two major sponsors MKG Partners Chartered Accountants and the Mt Henry Tavern for their continued support”
In an effort to remain fresh, bring in new ideas and take the next step in 2012 the club is currently seeking applications for head coaching positions of their C2 League, C2 Reserves and Colts teams.
