Strategic Plan

The Perth Football League’s 2026–2028 Strategic Plan sets a clear direction for the next phase of growth, centred on its purpose to build stronger communities through connection to football. The plan reinforces the League’s role beyond the game, with a focus on developing better people, fostering belonging, and creating environments where clubs and participants can thrive. Built around the pillars of Thriving People, Empowered Clubs, and a Premier Community League, it outlines a balanced approach to supporting participants while continuing to elevate the quality and reputation of the competition.

At its core, the strategy prioritises sustainability and support at club level. This includes improving the volunteer experience, strengthening football pathways, and introducing smarter, more efficient systems to reduce administrative burden. Alongside this, the League is investing in competition integrity and excellence through initiatives such as enhanced governance, improved umpire development, and the continued rollout of technology and data to support coaching, performance, and fair outcomes across all grades.

The plan also outlines a strong focus on future growth and long-term resilience. This includes expanding participation in inclusive and emerging areas of the game, strengthening community and cultural connections, and building leadership pathways across clubs. Complementing this is a commitment to financial sustainability, infrastructure advocacy, and diversified commercial growth, ensuring the League can continue to reinvest into clubs and deliver meaningful value to its members and the broader football community.
