2022 A Grade Grand Finals

The biggest day in the Perth Football calendar is here!

The 2022 A Grade Grand Finals will be decided in a triple header on Saturday 17 September at Steel Blue Oval.

It all kicks off with the Phil Scott Colts at 10:00am as the undefeated University take on Trinity Aquinas.

Trinity Aquinas will be hoping to turn things around from their Qualifying Final loss to Uni a fortnight ago where they faced a 29-point loss but it will be a massive task for Redmond Dobson’s men as not many sides have troubled Uni all season.

Scarborough will then go head-to-head with North Beach in the A Reserves at 12:15pm.

The last two meetings between these sides have both been decided by just 3 points with Scarborough defeating North Beach in the Qualifying Final (45-42) and North Beach taking down Scarborough in Round 13 (35-32).

The main event will take place at 2:30pm with Fremantle CBC coming up against Curtin Uni Wesley in the A Grade decider.

Minor premiers Curtin Uni Wesley last won the Sandover Shield in 2013 and will be hoping to go one better than last year when they fell short to Kingsway by 18 points.

Fremantle CBC have featured in two A Grade Grand Finals in the last five years, both ending in defeat in 2018 and 2019.

After a dominant home and away season from Curtin Uni Wesley which only saw one defeat at the hands of University by a single point, Fremantle CBC were able to knock the them off by 11 points in the Qualifying Final (44-55).

CBC have not held up the Sandover Shield since 2000, but many believe they have found the missing pieces in this season’s additions of George Hampson and sharpshooter Jack Perham who are set to play a big part in tomorrow’s clash.

Siren Sessions brought to you by Carlton Dry will be set up on the hill at Steel Blue Oval with live DJs, bars and merch up for grabs.

All three games will be streamed live and free on the Perth Football League YouTube channel: WATCH
