2008 Bowden Medal
08 Sep, 2008
Jarrad Ninyette of Gosnells is the winner of the 2008 Bowden Medal.? A man of few words, Ninyette made it clear that while proud to win the Sunday Football League’s highest individual honour, the award he was after was the one he could share with his team mates.
Ninyette also won the Boundary Umpire Award, while Armadale’s Malcom Yarran got the nod from the goal umpires.
The Reynolds Medal for the fairest and best player in the reserves was wone in sensational style by Shaun Bennell of Gosnells.? Bennell returned from a stint in the country late in the season and played just the last six games.
In the voting for the Blackburn Medal, Douglas Dick of Armadale and Alex Frisby of Gosnells couldn’t be separated.
